Painting & Epoxy Floors in Northern Maryland
Serving Cecil and Harford Counties since 1997.
Cecil and Harford Counties stretch from the head of the Chesapeake Bay to the Susquehanna River, taking in canal towns, working farms, and a fast-growing I-95 corridor along the way. Crotti’s Painting has served the region since 1997, bringing the same interior and exterior painting, pressure washing, epoxy floor coatings, and concrete grinding and polishing to a waterfront cottage in Havre de Grace and to a warehouse floor near Aberdeen. Waterfront Towns, Historic Districts, Working Farms
This region’s housing stock tells two different stories. Chesapeake City’s south-bank historic district sits on the National Register of Historic Places, with 19th-century Greek Revival and Italianate buildings left largely unaltered along the C&D Canal. Havre de Grace’s downtown historic district, at the confluence of the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay, mixes frame and brick construction spanning the 18th through 20th centuries — colonials, Capes, and Craftsman bungalows built close together with matching porch setbacks. Out in the Cecil County countryside, working farms and brick Georgian manor houses reflect the area’s agricultural history, while newer developments around Bel Air have brought builder-grade construction to the market. Each building type asks for something different from us: older frame and brick homes reward patient surface prep before a repaint, waterfront properties take a harder beating from sun and moisture, and newer homes typically arrive with bare garage slabs ready for an epoxy coating.
What Bay Humidity Does to Paint
Northern Maryland’s climate is shaped by its proximity to the Chesapeake Bay, and that means humidity — the kind that settles into shaded siding and gives mildew and algae a place to take hold. Left alone, that moisture works its way under paint film and leads to lifting, cracking, and premature peeling. A thorough pressure washing before we paint clears that growth out and gives the new finish a clean surface to bond to, which is why we treat washing as part of the paint job rather than an optional add-on. Garages take their own kind of seasonal abuse: winters in this part of Maryland bring road salt tracked in on tires, and bare concrete pits and stains under that kind of exposure over time. An epoxy floor coating shrugs off salt and grit that would otherwise work into an unprotected slab.

Commercial and Industrial Work
Aberdeen Proving Ground is Harford County’s largest employer, supporting a wide ecosystem of defense contractors and office and flex space around Aberdeen. Along the I-95 and Route 40 corridor, warehouse and distribution space has grown steadily at business parks like Principio Business Park, Eastgate, and Perryman. That kind of commercial space is epoxy and polished-concrete territory — floors that need to stand up to forklift and foot traffic well beyond what a residential garage sees. Our concrete grinding and polishing prepares those slabs properly before a coating goes down, which is what keeps a warehouse or office floor performing for the long run.
